Unique Authentication needs?

I cannot convert the vms and HPUX boxes to linux. On the VMS side,
there is a financial application running that requires precision that
I cannot replicate in Linux, and the HPUX application has a specific
use as well, so those are in for the time being.

Unfortunately, I don't think that this is the solution -- some servers
have Databases running on it (ugh, Oracle), some of the servers have
custom-written applications on it, and some of the boxes are nothing
more than overglorified number crunchers on it.
