Ben... I haven't done this but it's something I've been thinking about 
trying...

What I've been considering is; KVM, since it's supported by current kernels 
and on the windows end use PUTTY... on the Linux end simple ssh will works 
just fine....

This would make a great VM thread. Keep up posted.
