I was a pathetic MS Fanboy. My only defense is that it was my job to be one for 
quite some time there.

But I had the same experience with eD2.4. It just worked. Far more than the 
myriad other distros I had tried. So I finally became a believer in Linux.

It's only shortcoming was that it used KDE 1.x which was stable but utterly 
featureless. It was a great day when Marcus (?) provided the binaries for the 
new, shiny KDE2.

I think self-respecting toads everywhere would be insulted to be compared to 
whatever it is that Caldera has become. Sad when a friend turns into an enemy, 
but may perdition rain on them.
