This list originally was the Caldera Open Linux list.  A bunch of 
ferociously loyal and knowledgeable OL users  spent a lot of time and

I've used SuSE on and off since 6.1.  I thought 6.4 was pretty good.  I 
remember setting up Kppp with the YAST tool was easy, but I could never 
stay connected owing to the firewall.

Debian Kppp works fine - for root.

After Caldera went bust, the list became distro transparent.  There are 
a number of Libranet veterans on this list as well.  I still use it for 
my basic word processing and internet needs.
