nvidia driver causing system freeze?

Always good to have the latest SBIOS. Any hints in /var/log/messages
at the point the lock-up occurs? If y'all can get serial console on 
the box that hangs, you should be able to see console messages at the
point it locks up. 

What kind of card? There were some beta drivers released for testing
last week (173.08). I'm running 'em here without incident.
