Vu,

Have a look at the logs in /var/log/cups (or wherever, on a RH system). You 
might also raise the detail of the logs by changing the LogLevel 
in /etc/cups/cupsd.conf.

As Lonnie has already suggested, the easiest thing might be just to delete & 
recreate the printer. I have better success managing cups either from the 
command line (lpadmin) or with a browser (http://localhost:631) than with any 
fancy gui interface I've tried.
