I don't know how it is in Sweden or elsewhere, but a good many of the
jokes in the US are multi-ethnic - depends on where you live. Back in
Texas where I grew up, most of the jokes were Aggie (Texas A&M) jokes,
but I heard the same jokes later as Italian, Polish, Norwegian, etc.
In North Dakota they tell a lot of Norwegian jokes (lots of
immigrants), and people from Montana tell North Dakota jokes.

One of my favorite jokes from the early days in Texas, was a putdown
of a small college - Sam Houston State Teachers College. A lot of wags
liked to call it Sam Houston Institute of Technology.
