ATI RADEON 59250 video card?

Hey, that's my old neighborhood. We (Texarkana) played Kilgore in
football, and my sister-in-law and nephew still live in Henderson
(about 15 miles from Kilgore).

I googled that, but get only a

It's not just Ubuntu. Google has lots of posts about Radeon 9250 not working.

Sigh, as a personal point of choice, I only accept machines with an
nVidia card. Most of the time nVidia is pretty responsive in
developing Linux drivers.

ATI may get better now that AMD is running the show, but I'm from
Missouri (so to speak) - show me the proof.
