Alternative to Crontab

"Not to belabor the point".
Well, the question was simple enough; what alternatives to Crontab. You
picked about everything but the question itself. ISP, web host, fetch,
download ... we can go on and on. Maybe I gave too much information :-) I
should have just asked, are there any alternatives to Crontab? I admitted my
mistake referring to my web host as an ISP. But how is anything you pointed
out relevant to the basic question? Sorry, Bruce ... my intention was not to
annoy you. I think my question was simple enough. I don't see how knowing
what kind of a "LASH-UP" I have and who is getting data from who and why ...
is relevant.
