Huh, while I have no idea what scite does, I did fire up trusty Smart
Package Manager (I'm done with yum, "smart" smacks yum in the mouth and
then says "WHAT cho gonna do?!") and woot der it is. So I installed it,
no complaints. Quick and easy for all you FC users, smart is "de bomb".
Huh, what smart doesn't let you do is let you cut and paste within it
<groans> so here goes <much laborious typing> the rpm I have depends on:
libatk-1.0.so.0
libc.so.6 (GLIBC_2.0, 2.1, 2.1.3, 2.3, 2.3.4, 2.4)
libcairo.so.2
libdl.so.2
libgcc_s.so.1
libgcc_s.so.1(GCC_3.0)
libgdk-x11-2.0.so.0
libgdk_pixbuff-2.0.so.0
libglib-2.0.so.0
libgmodule-2.0.so.0
libgobject-2.0.so.0
libgthread-2.0.so.0
libgtk-x11-2.0.so.0
libm.so.6
libm.so.6(GLIBC_2.0)
libpango-1.0.so.0
libpangocairo-1.0.so.0
libpthread.so.0
libpthread.so.0(GLIBC_2.0)
libstd++.so.6
libstd++.so.6(CXXABI_1.3)
libstd++.so.6(GLIBCXX_3.4)
rtld(GNU_HASH)
-------------------------------------------------------------
Looks like it is that last one, rtld
whatever in the heck that is. The only reference I'm finding on rtld in
the rpm database is in the ExtUtils-Depends module for perl.:
ExtUtils-Depends module for perl
This module tries to make it easy to build Perl extensions that use
functions and typemaps provided by other perl extensions. This means
that a perl extension is treated like a shared library that provides
also a C and an XS interface besides the perl one. This works as long
as the base extension is loaded with the RTLD_GLOBAL flag (usually done
with a sub dl_load_flags {0x01} in the main .pm file) if you need to use
functions defined in the module.

Who writes that stuff? I have no clue what that just said. I hope it
helps somehow. I'm gonna do what Murphy, the Chocolate lab does, brace
my forequarters and kick dirt with my hind legs in the general direction
on that bit. Good night and good luck, Robert! <grins> Ric
