If we banished all off-topic subjects to the general list there would be 
virtually no traffic on this site at all. You guys can't even stay on-topic 
on an off-topic subject!

This thread started off as a rant against Lonnie's complaint about a Window's 
thread and now has degenerated into a UCLA alumni meeting! ;-)
