Silly me!  I was obviously under the delusion that a purpose of the SxS 
list was promoting and facilitating the Linux desktop.
In my case and, I may be so bold as to suggest, in many other users' 
cases, functionality still requires some Win apps, whether run in a 
virtual machine, under emulation, or in a separate Win partition.
