CD Burning Why So Difficult?

I share your sentiments but reached just the opposite conclusion! :-)

Before I could burn my first CD & later my first DVD I had to spend hours 
on-line researching all of the necessary command-line options--which I then 
had to write done for future reference so i wouldn't have to go through all 
the research again.

On the other hand, K3B pretty much seemed to work right out of the box. It 
found all of the necessary programs during set-up and seems to apply all the 
right options.
