Last time I used Gentoo (which was roughly 2 years ago), the
'handbook' was full of errors.  The sad thing is that the time before
that when I used Gentoo (prolly a year or two earlier), it had the
very same errors.  This didn't exactly give me much confidence that
Gentoo was on top of their game when their basic documentation was
wrong.
