Suse 10.1 freezed

Can you be a little more specific? Did it first freeze and then you were
unable to re-boot, or did you discover that it would not boot after powering
down and then trying to boot?
Is the blank screen appearing before or after the GRUB boot menu? (Are you
using GRUB?). If before the GRUB boot menu then it sounds as if your boot
track is corrupted or incorrectly written. If after the GRUB menu then it
sounds like a kernel problem.
Do you happen to have a Knoppix CD lying about? See if you can boot Knoppix.
If not, you may have a hardware problem. If so, you may be able to repair
your Suse installation by re-installing GRUB or changing kernels.
