Does Australie take in a lot of people like this ?  I have looked at
their immigration documents, but the allow immigration under different
circumstances, like your example above.

If someone like myself want to immigrate, I have to go through a long
process which takes about 18 months (well, probably not that long in the
bigger picture, but still).
