In my experience, if hardware is cheap, you get what you pay for.
Vendors have to cut corners somewhere to make it cheap. That means
lower performance, lower quality components, less QA, or more often
all of the above. Keep in mind that getting something working in
WinXP is the lowest common denominator, and screams that they've done
very limited QA.
