I saw this on my ThinkPad 600 when attempting to move beyond SuSE 9.2 Pro
to a newer release.  The CardBus cards worked fine with the older releases.
It appeared to have something to do with interrupt mapping.  I never did
figure out what caused the problems, and stayed with the older
distribution.

I finally retired the TP600 after 8 years of yeoman service as the 256MB
RAM wasn't enough for the current crop of Linux distributions (and I got a
Titanium Powerbook at a very righteous price).
