Me, lived in Germany 1963 - 1967. Lived in Oberweis and then Bitburg.
All on the Seigfreid line. Remember playing in the Slit trenches and
dragons teeth in and around Oberweis that were still in place from
WWII. It was NOT unusual for a Farmer to be doing some plowing and uncover
the remains of a some sort of a plane. I remember one time that it made news
that a Hunter found the crash site of a B17 outside of Oberweis in the woods.
Ahh the good ol' days ...
