1.0-9755 hasn't been supported in quite a while.

I'm assuming that you've explicitly requested those modes in your
xorg.conf and its not working?  If so, then you'll need to start X
with the following command:
startx -- -logverbose 6

and then generate and send me an nvidia-bug-report.log
