Ah, the Pennsylvania Turnpike -- the army could use it to test
tanks (and the roads department does things like test 1st gear on
the snow plows on holiday weekends in July to make sure things
don't go to fast).

In the early '70s I was driving a 1964 Ford F-350 dualie back
from a race at Nelson Ledges, towing a 30 ft trailer, and the
Turnpike was so bumpy near Pittsburg it bounced me out of the
driver's seat so I was standing with one foot in the driver's
side foot well and hanging onto the wheel (I installed seat belts
as soon as we got back to my shop).
