Folks, when I turn on and boot into any distro and the program loads on
the screen, how do I get it to slow down or even stop and restart so's
I can see what's wrong? Same thing when I log off. Also, when I
shutdown with the GUI, right click -> log out "bob" on my SuSE 10.1 it
is SLOW. When I go to a su - terminal and <shutdown-h now> it goes
down quickly. This doesn't cause any harm, I hope?
Next ones; When I was goofing around with the Xserver I some how
screwed something up so I get these two messages on my first open
window.
<Composite extension not found
You must use XOrg ? 6.8 for translucency and shadows to work.
Additionally, you need to add a new section to your X config file:
Section "Extensions"
Option "Composite" "Enable"
EndSection> and
<The Composite Manager crashed twice within a minute and is therefore
disabled for this session.>
This, also, is on my SuSE 10.1. Any suggestions where I need to go
(please be careful, I'm tender) to fix it?
Bob
