Subscribers posting from different addresses can be an issue. In the
gentoo lists, I think only one address is allowed. It's not as bad as it
seems, after all people can probably use ssh to work from, or to tunnel
into, the allowed address, or just subscribe once for each address...

I know, but even so it can be too much load, enough for the
administrator feel the temptation of opening the list. (I'm not thinking
of this list, specifically).
