   I recall back in the days when video arcade machines were so popular
that some companies made millions by manufacturing joysticks and buttons
and various input devices that could withstand the harsh usage of over
eager players.  Seems to me I've heard that the work being done on
Scratch-n-Sniff screens has encountered the same difficulties with over
zealous users....  DOH!!!
