I just had a situation on my one XP machine. The DVD player refused to run
saying something was haywire with the screen settings and to lower the
resolution. Well, it used to work so some update must have hosed it.
So I went to the ATI site and figured I would get the latest driver.
Sure.....
After downloading about 34MB of .NET stuff (required)
24MB of some fancy driver stuff...
6MB or so of what probably is the driver.....
It finally did work. But I don't want all that crap even though I don't use
Windows unless I really, really have to. (mapping software)
I have two brand new Nvidia cards here and I will replace the ATI and
hopefully remove some of the stuff that was installed.
