The other problem I found is that many mail servers will reject or  
flag messages as spam if they originate from "known user pools" so I  
normally configure my mail server to relay everything through the  
ISP.  My current provider used to take a long time to relay mail so  
it was a bit frustrating but they've cleaned up their act so it's not  
a problem at all.  Inbound is no problem though.
