frame errors in ifconfig output?

Actually my last didn't answer your question (reading it better).
Lets see, what can cause errors:
Some are normal (collisions). Two cards trying to talk at the same
time (we are, afterall, talking about carrier detect collision
detection with ethernet, its token ring that does collision avoidance.
Overruns: chatty card (remote) -- a managed switch will have overrun
protection (called a "jabber latch").
Dropped: for whatever reason, a packet is dropped. Could be the
local card's fault.
frame: answered in last post I think, if not, rephrase the question.
carrier: (loss of) -- ditto
Want to find a chatty card, try running 'watch ifconfig eth0'. When
errors show up, find out show was transmitting (tcpdump would help
here).
