errors: (sum total of all errors)
dropped: self-explanatory
overruns: not self-explanatory -- card that keeps transmitting when it
should shut up (said to jabber) -- frames are too big
frame/carrier: ethernet frames. IP travels inside (and inside the IP
packet is normally TCP or UDP). This is damage to the frame itself (or
loss of carrier)
collisions: exactly what it says (usually causes runts or short
packets). You'll often see frame errors with wireless (interference,
RF distortion from too loud or too soft signals).

Search for Ethernet: The Definitive Guide -- may give you better results.
