Toshiba laptop and Ubuntu

The Qosmio's are a strange breed. The 'instant on' DVD player on those
things is actually running an embedded linux kernel. However, I've gotten
reports from some folks that running a real distro tends to be a bit of an
adventure, especially if you're using the nvidia X driver.
