Toshiba laptop and Ubuntu

I have a Qosmio Toshiba laptop and have toyed with the idea of installing
Linux on my machine so your results are very encouraging. My Linux install
of choice would be Fedora Core 5 and completely eliminate MS XP (eXtremely
Poor) altogether. If anyone has feedback on this please provide feedback.

I'm glad you had a pleasant experience. My total experience with 6.06
(and it's development predecessors) on desktop and laptop has been "it
just plain works" except for CUPS (that's all too frequently a POS on
any distro).
