I've been saying the same things for at least a decade now.
Being in Washington State, where a major chunk of the economy
depends on the Redmond Raptor, I see this every day. People
close their eyes to Windows' security problems, and Microsoft's
business practices when it threatens their jobs.
My wife keeps telling me how rich we would be if we had bought
Microsoft stock 20 years ago, and I responde that I would rather
invest in honest crime like the Mafia than profit from Microsoft's
ill-gotten gains.
