As an aside, I noticed early on with Ubuntu that obtaining a lease
from my simple router takes longer that with any other distro, but I
never dug into it. On boot up, up to half of the total boot up time
was waiting for a lease. I don't think it's quite that slow now, so
maybe they fixed something along the way.
