Wel I have a AMD64 and Suse9.2 puts on a 64 and a 32 bit libs and a system.

COLORTERM=1
COLUMNS=85
CPU=x86_64
CVS_RSH=ssh
DIRSTACK=()
DISPLAY=:0.0
EUID=0
...
...
...
HOST=RSivernell
HOSTNAME=RSivernell
HOSTTYPE=x86_64
IFS=$' \t\n'
...
...
...
MACHTYPE=x86_64-suse-linux

So from this I gather I am running a 64bit system, as to why, why not, not that
everything has to be 64bit. I would assume most things have not been converted to
64bit, but even 32bit will run faster.

I just notice that some things will not load in a 64bit system, like flash in Firefox.
Those who do not are few however.

cheers
