(OT) Hydraulics?

Anyone here have digital proportional control of hydraulics experience? :')

I need a new hobby and... well... It'd be cool as snot to have a home brew 
exoskeleton driven by linux...  

I've found enough links on the net, but not enough detail. It seems like a 
real smoke and mirrors subject. Even found a military site that's dev'ing 
one... Bigger budget no doubt than me... :')

The snow has been slow but steady. The ground is too warm for any serious 
accumulations and... I probably won't be running the snow blower till 
morning.
