I'm still waiting for ananswer from my Oracle contact. The XEdisk I
have is definitely 32-bit only- will not install on my Ubuntu 54-bit
system.

FYI, only development will be done on XE. The actual server will use
the licensed Oracle product which has no such restrictions.

Will be reviewing such things. Please remember, we will not be running
Oracle XE on the actual server. Also, any number of Oracle primary
contriuters will be avalable to trouble shoot the setup.
