  Is't Linux great, that we have different flavours, but M$ has one for all. That is
unless you want to revert to yesteryear. I found Caldera the best, like most of you. 
I have found Suse better than most, Liked Gentoo when it worked, found it had to keep
stable though, with the updates. I use the xfce desktop on most machines, wife needs
help, she has KDE.
