 Thanks for the reply, here is how and what of the build:

AS ROOT:
RSivernell:/opt/downloads/utl/MPlayer-1.0pre7 # ./configure --enable-gui
--enable-dynamic-plugins --with-x11libdir=/usr/X11R6/lib64
--with-x11incdir=/usr/X11R6/include --with-codecsdir=/usr/local/lib/codecs

RSivernell:/opt/downloads/utl/MPlayer-1.0pre7 # make && make install
&& ldconfig
RSivernell: echo 1024 > /proc/sys/dev/rtc/max-user-freq

Now on LIRC, no I do not have an IRC. In root

AS a user the cmd issued is :
rick at RSivernell:~>  mplayer OnceaMarineAlwaysaMarine.wmv & in a terminal.
                and
rick at RSivernell:~> g mplayer OnceaMarineAlwaysaMarine.wmv & in a terminal.


The only thing I do not have is the subfont.ttf, It is not on my system and currently
googling for it now. Have I not added something or created this improperly?
