Problem connecting to Winders network

Not just those OS. But even Linux boxes with defectors from them. Bad
habits die hard. Also, kids. My daughter likes names like 
"Kittens !!!!!!!!!!.jpg". And she has somehow acquired MP3 files
containing '&' and '?' in the names - all deadly to the command line if
care is not taken. In fact, this has caused no trouble as yet. She does
not do command line stuff yet (only 11 years old), and the GUI
environment seems to have no trouble with these sorts of names. I have
not had a serious talk with her yet. But soon. Real soon.
