Thanks for taking this in the proper perspective, Ken. As you say, we
all have bad days, and I, too, prefer to have a concise answer plus a
pointer to the available doco.

Back in the early (Caldera) days of this list, I was thoroughly
excoriated for not knowing the details of PCI vs. ISA cards. My Linux
knowledge was minimal at that time, but my hardware knowledge was
zippo. In those days, newbies were fair game for a roast without
warning. Having been on the receiving end, I've tried to avoid
returning the favor.
