The system claims that pcmcia is running (using yenta_socket)
It should start up at boot (It claims it will)
I used ndiswrapper. It is running and finds the card.
#ndiswrapper -l
Installed ndis drivers:
bcmwl5 hardware present
YaST is still not finding the card.
#lspci

??? Why is the thing disabled??? How do I switch it? knoppix likes it.
I really can't find anything in dmesg that tells me anything. The system
beeps nicely when a card is inserted or removed.
The T23 is really a nice system. The unit was designed in 1999 but mine was
built in 2001. It used a PIII-M at 1.1GHz. I have 1GB of RAM and a 60 GB
drive and a DVD-ROM. It uses an Intel chipset. Has an integrated 10/100
Intel PRO/100 ethernet port. It wants ACPI. A 16 MB 1024x768 video display,
that, I think, is AGP. I found the thing at a price a student with kids can
afford.
[snip]
What else do I need to report? It disturbs me that even under knoppix, I
can't find the name of the card interface in dmesg. where else would it be?
