True..... but for some it would work well. A friend of my wife who lives
in CA was having problems with email on her local ISP. It just wasn't
reliable. So I got her a gmail account and told her how to set it up with
POP access. She now (hopefully) has both a permanent email address and
reliable email. And when she starts teaching college classes (online), she
plans on getting another account to handle the class emails..
So it does have some value to some....
