The Thinkpads take some of the RAM for their own use. My TP 600 has 256MB
RAM, but only about 223MB available to the system.
What I really want now is a new 15in Apple Powerbook with a gig of RAM.
The only thing I hate about them is that they have that stupid touch pad
requiring an external mouse.
