One thing I just realized today (ok, last night around 12:30am) is that
Klipper and Kgpg plug into Gnome (Ubuntu Hoary). While I love KDE, this
has long been one of the big opposing forces to my using Gnome at all.
If I can use Klipper, that lessens the difference...

I must admit, though, nobody does KDE like SuSE. I did install KDE on
Ubuntu and Gentoo. SuSE's KDE theme makes a huge difference. That and
the fact that SuSE has spent a lot of time making everything integrate
quite nicely :)

Ubuntu and Gentoo are still my 2nd and 3rd favorite distros to date. I
just loaded up Lotus Notes(wine) on Ubuntu. Seems to work great.
It was as simple as:
$ scp -r .wine/ ubuntubox:
and rearranging the symlinks in .wine/dosdevices to point to the correct
mount points for CD's and the C: drive.

$ wine 'c:\notes\nlnotes.exe'
~ (using nlnotes.exe instead of notes.exe skips the pretty but annoying
splash screen)

Now if only I could get that Atheros nic driver to stop crashing the box
(both Ubuntu and Gentoo)

| Thanks, k3b did burn very nicely on this last setup of the system.
very happy
| with the way it worked. I do not use the kde3.3 interface but will use
some of
| their programs. I am using the Suse 9.2 AMD 64 system here. Love it.
