I think the message is clear: Snotty begets Snotty.

As a n00b, don't be snotty.
As a veteran, try not to insult or vent too much on the n00b (or other
veterans).  Or write it but don't send it.

The reason we get along has a lot to do with knowing when to let it go.
~ This is not a emotional therapy group, we shouldn't unleash our angst
and frustration on others who subscribe.

I endured my initiation back around Caldera 2.2 (after already learning
to dislike RH6.0 and SuSE 6.0).  I learned to show respect through some
good tongue-lashings.  Looking back, I needed to learn to show respect,
and that probably did me some good.  But my real appreciation goes to
those who encouraged me, not the ones who took my head off.

And whoever is humming "Kum-ba-ya" better knock it off!  :)

Since then, I've had to take serious look at how my emails come off to
others... and had to make some adjustments to my attitude, or
potentially find another job.  Just food for thought.
