I read (in Scientific American, I think) some time ago that men and
women "see" differently.
This brings up an issue: my trusty old Panasonic S70 died after ten
years of service and I need a new monitor.
I have looked at the various LCD's at the local vendors and find that,
for my eyes, only the Sony LCD's display text anywhere close to what I
consider acceptable, and it is still of lower quality than a CRT.
Unfortunately, the available selection of CRT's is limited, and what is
available does not impress me.
So, I'd like to poll the list for recommendations of a 17" CRT or LCD
that has good text resolution and good reliability.
As far as CRT's go, only NEC-Mitsubishi seems to sell aperture grill
monitors any more. I would have to mail-order one of these, so if any
one can recommend a reliable merchant, that would be appreciated too.
