firefox-1.5 color madness

I don't know about the offcial 1.5 release. I'm still running 1.5 beta
2. Have you tried the usual Edit  -> Preferences -> Content -> Colors?
On my (pretty much unaltered except for font sizes), highlited text is
bg dark blue fg white, and that's what shows up in the Preferences.

about:config shows the same browser.active_color  #EE0000 setting as
yours, but this never seems to be used for anything but the find input
box.
