My son is in Sydney and they have water restrictions in place, outside
Sydney and west its draought srticken. Victoria and Melbourne are also
heavily drought effexted and restrictions in place, Vivtoria has
salination problems along with NSW. Not sure as to how Southe Oz and
West OZ are but it has to be bad in the country too. We did here that
the had some rain this week max 33mm. Qld had patchs of 0-6 mm up north.
We also had the first water prediction here in Brissy that we have
enough for 3 years. Dis not say how severe the restictions would be in
future nor if this was with some rain or not. I would guess that they
would calculate in some rainfall, seeing that we have not had zero rain
before, but then there are statisticians and they can amke anything =
anything.
The outlook is not brilliant whichever way they go. We have just been
told that the hole over antartic had grown bigger than ever and is
depleteing ozone. One outcome of this is we are now getting daily
warnings of ultra violet A and B levels, also told if we do not wear
protection the burn rate is now less than 12 mins. NZ is down to 9.
What is this going to do to the environment and the Reef ?
