News links are scarce apart from TV and radio. o one wants to talk about 
  it, typical taciturn aussie outlook, ignore it then it will go away.

Water problems hamper house fire battle

Fitzroy River Water says it will work with the Queensland Fire and 
Rescue Service to identify areas in Rockhampton where higher water 
pressure is needed in the event of fires.

Firefighters battled with weak water pressure at a house fire in Wandal 
on Wednesday afternoon which destroyed the building.

Neil Hanschen from Fitzroy River Water says water flow varies throughout 
the city.

"The newer suburbs where there are newer standards for flows, some of 
the older areas the flow will be lower," he said.

"That's what the firefighters found yesterday."
