My List of commonly used apps - What's everyone else using?

Ion is a window manager.  It doesn't depend on screen size, that's the
criteria I use to decide between openbox and ion.  If the screen size
is 17+ inches, I use openbox.  If the screen size is less than 17" (or
the 17 inch screen doesn't have anything better than 1024x768, I use
ion.

Ion uses tabs across the top of the screen, one for each application
you open.  And each application chosen uses the entire screen.  Great
for 12" laptop monitors or monitors used to show network/server status
to a number of folks at the same time (or to give presentations,
etc.).
