Married is good.  One of our tactics is to allow each some money in their own 
account that they can do with as they will.  If I want something expensive, I 
either beg until I can get it or wait until my account has the funds needed to 
purchase what I want.  Given that I play with computers and ham radios, it is 
usually several months between purchases.
